This course is made up of short lessons, articles, videos, short assignments and multiple-choice quizzes.

On completion of this course, you will move onto the classroom phase of the training. The online course will enhance your knowledge in investigations, the role of the investigator, planning for investigations, evidence and will cover the theories of Investigative Interviewing. Those meetings we tend the describe as difficult conversations.

This course is aimed at the rail sector and is suitable for personnel who investigate incidents on a regular basis.

This is the first part of your training and will be followed by a three-day classroom-based course when you will develop on the areas discussed here and complete practical exercises to enhance your learning. On completion of both elements, you will attain the Level 3 Certificate in Investigation (RQF).

During the online material we investigate an incident on a rail station.

In the classroom phase of the course we will investigate a new incident, you do no need to bring any documents you have completed during the online course.
