WHY THE ‘EYES’ DON’T HAVE IT!

3000 years ago it was believed that you could tell someone was a liar and poisoner if they shivered and scraped their big toe along the ground.

More recently, 9 million people viewed a Tik Tok post claiming that the direction of a persons gaze indicated truthfulness or otherwise and a view was proffered suggesting that you knew someone was a liar if their feet pointed towards the door as it meant they wanted to escape.

3000 years apart and still many believe that you can confidently spot a liar and reliably identify deceit by such ridiculous means.

At Intersol Global we position science and research ahead of witchcraft and sorcery.

“That the only reliable method of determining truth, separating fact from fiction, and detecting deceit, is by the practice of highly skilled investigative interviewing enabling subsequent internal or external verification of an account or explanation.”

We firmly believe that the ‘ducking stool’ and lie detectors have no place in modern day investigation when lives, livelihoods, and careers are the stakes. That the only reliable method of determining truth, separating fact from fiction, and detecting deceit, is by the practice of highly skilled investigative interviewing enabling subsequent internal or external verification of an account or explanation.

“Investigation of high stakes workplace incidents is no place for the enthusiastic amateur”. It’s why we created the only vocational qualification in the world to conduct meaningful investigative interviewing.
