Steve Garden is an experienced investigator having served in the law enforcement arena since 1987. A career Detective, Steve spent 19 years employed in Greater Manchester Police predominantly as a Detective. He was an investigator with the Organised Crime Unit and the Force Major Incident team. As a member of a team on the Organised Crime Unit Steve was instrumental in setting up investigation templates and procedures dealing with gang related enquiries resulting in the successful prosecution of high profile criminal figures in the Greater Manchester area.
Whilst engaged as an investigator within the Force Major Incident Team Steve was a lead investigator and interviewer on numerous murder and counter terrorism cases, culminating with a secondment for 6 months working alongside the Metropolitan Police into the investigation of the 2005 London bombings. Steve has a broad base of Detective skills and involvement investigating all types of serious crime. He has received numerous commendations for his work. His single handed investigation into a protracted fraud enquiry resulted in a stated case in English Criminal Law with regards the sequestration of assets (Regina v Barwick).
Steve is highly trained in the area of suspect and witness interviews, including specialist training with regards the interviewing of child victims / witnesses. His experience allows him to work alongside different agencies and submit evidence to a high standard, liaising with Queens Counsel and giving evidence at High Court.
