Laura Hynes is an operational detective with fourteen years experience and is a specialist in investigative interviewing, having worked within one of the busiest Manchester sub-divisions, investigating a wide range of criminal activity including murders, serious sexual assaults, large scale fraud, drugs and organised crime group activities. Laura is a trained family liaison officer and has deployed to numerous and varied incidents including terrorist attacks, natural disasters, and many families who lost a loved one to violent crime, she has also worked with a number of high profile community leaders within this role including foreign royalty.
Accredited PIP level 2 advanced witness and suspect interviewer, deploying at specific request, into a number of complex and high profile investigations, has interviewed witnesses and suspects for the most serious and complicated of offences and circumstances.
Accredited PIP level 3 interview advisor/manager (Tier 5) since 2009. Managed interview strategies for various and varied serious crime investigations including large scale fraud, human trafficking, child sexual exploitation, murder, serious sexual assaults, covert operations and terrorist related activities.
Has deployed oversees, New York, Canada, Istanbul, Slovakia etc specifically to conduct interviews of persons for the most serious offences.
Nationally accredited child protection investigator. SPOC for interview management on a policing sub division. Responsible for management of interview skills, reviews, and providing strategic advice to officers of all levels.
Holds security management level vetting. Currently undertaking Masters degree in investigative management. Laura is a Practitioner member of the International Investigative interviewing Research Group (iIIRG).
