Professor Amina Memon is an academic and researcher with over 30 years of experience in the field of Investigative Interviewing. Her expertise lies in the areas of Cognitive and Social Psychology where she has published widely and extensively researched topics such as child and adult witness memory, the reliability of testimony, judgements about credibility, decision making and bias. A distinctive flavour of her work has been her close working relationship with policy makers and practitioners in the field of policing, social work and the law. Her applied research is aimed at identifying methods for improving justice for victims and witnesses, with a particular focus on vulnerable groups. She has provided expert testimony and training in the criminal justice sector in N. America, Europe, Scotland and England.
